Leaving Marseille in our wake, we cross into Spanish waters for a few days, calling first at Roses in Catalonia, home of the elBulli museum and a landscape that inspired Picasso, then, Barcelona, for Gaudí's whimsical architecture and the lively tapas bars of the Gothic Quarter.
A relaxing day at sea offers a chance to recharge before we arrive in Monte Carlo just in time for the Monaco Grand Prix. Expect plenty of excitement as race weekend takes over these historic streets and witness one of the world's most thrilling sports spectaculars. We overnight here to give you plenty of time to soak it all up.
Then we cross the border to experience Riviera life Italian-style at chic Portofino and wander its charming, pastel-colored streets. Onwards to Livorno, for Tuscany; the Leaning Tower of Pisa and Chianti vineyards will be within your grasp. Finally, we reach Civitavecchia, Rome's port, where our journey ends.
